Women And Female Empowerment
“Empowering words for women” or “empowering words for females” are words to empower all the women in our lives. Women bear a great responsibility to our human race.
After all they, our mothers, parent us and help nurture us as children. What an awesome relationship we all share together. Not only are they our guardians and guiding angels for life, they represent the highest bond of love.
For when those of us marry women, we share that connection with deep affection and devotion.
So it is paramount we can further motivate, inspire and empower women, and all females for that matter, so that the responsibility and roles of womanhood, motherhood, sisterhood, daughter-hood, is that more rewarding and happier.
Then let us do all in our power every single day to duly honor the women and females in our lives.
Need For Empowering Women
“The empowered woman is powerful beyond measure and beautiful beyond description.” Steve Maraboli
Women’s empowerment can be described in various ways but the end result of this has to be women becoming equal members of the society. Making the decisions regarding her life, making the choices that help her to fulfill her dreams and the very basic and fundamental right of having dreams are all part for empowering women.
To empower someone means to give them the means to achieve what they want. It not only makes them more stronger and confident to take on the challenges of life, it also gives them the courage to be an advocate for themselves.
It requires women to be empowered economically and socially. It requires women to feel safe to express herself inside and outside the house. It is the responsibility of every man and woman to ensure that the women in their family are empowered to do all of these.
Am empowered woman is powerful. Powerful enough to lift a hundred other women into the realm of empowerment. Like with some of the mammals where females leads the pack, a good combination of aggression and affection is required to be that empowered leader of the group.
Empowerment For All Ages Of Females
As a little girl, it is important to grow up believing that you have all the super powers. As a little girl, it is also important to be assured that you have the ability and the support required to bloom into an empowered person.
As a teenager, it is important to believe that in addition to physical strength, it is important to develop metal and emotional strength required to be and feel empowered.
As a young woman, it is important to feel that not shying away from responsibilities and challenges is the mantra towards empowerment.
Muddling through the middle ages or years of a woman’s life, it is important to keep working at your empowerment.
By old age, an empowered woman should have empowered many more by example and should have provided help to empower many during the course of her life.
How Can We Use Words To Empower Women?
All females in different species are born with the power to provide, protect and procreate. Affection, Empathy and Adaptability are qualities with which they are born.
Due to long periods of oppression and neglect, their ability to perform and excel has been doubted and undervalued.
So young girls should be encouraged to fulfill their dreams and have a passion for living.
Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and resilience that most women naturally have, should be more heralded and further encouraged and utilized as well.
Some Ways To Empower Women Would Be:
Listen To Her Without Judging Her
Being non-judgmental to women shows respect for their feelings and honor their feminine qualities.
Do Not Pass Offensive Comments
Especially the ones that makes her feel that her gender is her limitation.
Encourage Women To Come Up With New Ideas
“Ideas are the new currency.” Anonymous
It is important to encourage women to come up with ideas. The ideas that each person comes up with is unique to the person’s circumstances and issues faced. The ideas that she generates, helps not only her but also those around her, living under similar circumstances.
“If you have an idea, you have to believe in yourself or no one else will.”
Show appreciation to the women in your life.
Women always juggle between different roles. The roles she plays are much more demanding both physically and emotionally.
Appreciating her whatever she manages to achieve helps her do it with more conviction.
I consider Encourage, Entrust and Enable as the three E’s towards Empowerment
Giving hope, support or confidence to someone is to encourage that person.
It could be a woman in distress or someone beaming with an idea to launch a product or create something new.
Providing her the support, giving her the confidence to believe in herself and showing her the hope for a better tomorrow by going ahead with her plans is what any of us can do.
Assigning the responsibility for doing something is to entrust.
Entrusting a woman with an important task is equivalent to speaking a thousand words of appreciation and encouragement.
The belief that you show in her abilities makes her believe in her own abilities manifold. Hence the best way to encourage a woman or a man for that matter is to entrust them with something important.
Giving the authority or the means to do something is to enable.
In order to execute any task satisfactorily, it is important to have the authority to take decisions and a thorough knowledge of the task.
Giving her the required training and resources is hence a key aspect in empowering her. This will help her to not only perform the task in hand, it will also enable her to empower more of her tribe.
If this cycle repeats with each person making sure he or she empowers as many women as they can, woman empowerment will no longer be just another fancy term.
It will become a reality for all the women in the world.
As long as there are still women who don’t feel safe or don’t feel confident enough to come out of the difficult circumstances they are in, people working towards women empowerment still have a job to do.
Empowering Women And Females Is Ongoing
It is a work in progress and will be, as long as every girl child’s birth is celebrated, every little girl gets educated, every young woman can dream of making changes in her society, every middle aged woman is proud of her daughters’ achievements as much as she is of hers and every old woman is looked upon as a personality who has brought about change and progress.
“If you speak openly and often, you don’t need to speak loudly”. Annie Chung
So true. It is important for women to talk about their concerns, fears, consents, disapprovals, likes, dislikes, feelings and emotions on a regular basis.
Understanding that words that are unspoken remain unheard is very important. It is hence necessary to encourage women to speak up more often and openly.
“I don’t have more hours in a day than anyone else: I just make time for things that are important for me” Ximena Vengoechea
Women who juggle between many roles, have to understand this.
Those who succeed, empower themselves to prioritize things. It may not be able to do everything everyday.
Maintaining a perfect balance is not possible. But making sure that the most important things don’t get unnoticed or left out due to lack of time, is a requirement.
Self empowerment plays an important role in the whole process.
As a woman, in order to feel empowered, you must invest time in yourself.
You can sharpens your skills, indulge in creative activities, read about strong and independent women from around the world or spend time on fitness and health.
All these activities influence you in more ways than one. A self empowered woman not only takes care of herself and her goals, she is capable of empowering, leading and motivating many others.
When the source of power comes from within, it is only a matter of tapping into it whenever required.
During the course of getting empowered, it is important to keep all negativity at bay. It can be in the form of people who try to feed you with stories of failures or those sharing their own experiences of lack of success.
It is better to steer clear of such people. There could be people who couldn’t do it earlier. But that does not mean you cannot be the first person to achieve it.
Another person’s failure is not a guarantee for yours. You can still succeed by sheer hard work, perseverance and dedication.
Empowered Women Empower Other Women
As empowered women it is very important to empower other women.
Understanding the requirements of other women around you, talking to them when they need help, guiding them when they seem lost and protecting them when they need protection is the responsibility of every empowered woman.
Empowered women are beautifully described in the following lines:
“Women who are so strong, they can be gentle, so educated, they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined, they can be free.” Kavita Ramdas
We need more such women in the society.
Women With A Voice
“A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice is extremely difficult. This ‘voice’ is your best tool. Once you find your voice, hone it and practice.” Melinda Gates
With some help from the outside world, it is an inward journey to find that voice. A journey that one has to cover alone.
All the motivational, inspiring and empowering words and actions can only help a person to start the search to find that voice. Once found, use it wisely to further help, motivate, inspire and empower others.
Let gender not be a reason for any kind of bias. Let gender not decide the kind of jobs a person does. Let gender not be a reason for empowerment.
“Here’s to strong empowered women: May We Know Them. May We Be Them. May We Raise Them.”
