The Art of Empowerment of Children by Parents, Guardians and other Adults in a Child’s Formative Years
Parents and Guardians – mothers, fathers, step-parents, play such a hugely important role in children’s development. They supply the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of a child from infancy. They shoulder the immediate responsibility to nurture and raise their offspring with love and affection, praise and encouragement. Parents want what they believe is best for their children. Children’s positive behaviors are influenced by parenting skills that lead a child into a healthy adult, for a child is dependent on their parents, readying the child for challenges.
Parents influence their children with protective social interactions and by encouraging proper social behaviors, and offer gentle, nurturing guidance. Parents also teach their children by example. Children at a younger age are given the opportunity to become skilled in tasks and they begin to learn responsibility. Child discipline is taught imparting knowledge and skill and instructed to follow a particular code of conduct, helping the child build a strong foundation. It involves looking after or monitoring a child’s activities.
Parents and guardians use the experiences they have learned in their own lives. They often sacrifice greatly to provide the necessities of life for their children, often at their own unselfish expense. Truly they are the unsung heroes of our lives. Parenting can be a lifelong process. There are benefits to parenting, for parents in their old age can receive assistance with caring from their children in return.
Other family members like grandparents, uncles, aunts, very older cousins, and even a family friend or adult neighbors play a pivotal role in every child’s development. As the African proverb goes “It takes a village to raise a child”. For the community is about building a supportive social network. Children require supervision, advice, and guidance from their parents or other adults. For young children are generally incapable of looking after themselves, and clumsy in making informed decisions for their own well-being.
The Art of Empowerment of Children by Preschool – Early Childhood Education for Human Development
Early childhood education takes place in childcare, nursery, kindergarten, or Montessori schools with early learning programs. Parents place their children in a safe and supervised environment. These schools provide early childhood education as it affects the development of a child’s personality, and is a precious support to parents and guardians. This early education of the young mind is in a supportive, thoughtfully prepared learning environment. It attempts to develop children physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively, observing the individual child’s characteristics, tendencies, innate talents, and abilities.
An attribute of love and acceptance is developed within the child for the overall goal is to be concerned with the child’s happiness. Children are trained to be at liberty to choose and act freely within an environment for optimal development. The function of the environment is to help and allow the child to develop independence in all areas according to his or her inner psychological makeup. The task of early schooling is to build in the child with habits of mind that would allow the capacity of reason to develop.
Nursery, kindergarten, or Montessori schooling recognize the importance of empathy and aspire to build capacity in the children in hopes of them becoming confident and emotionally resilient even an at an early age. Their impact is tremendous as children learn with other young minds as themselves. Communication skills and behavioral skills become second nature to these young children as they interact on a daily basis with new young friends as well as their teachers.
With such early childcare and education, young children learn how to function in relation to other people. With proper guidance, children become more comfortable with their environment. The forming of attachments is believed to be the basic building block of the infant child’s capacity to form and conduct relationships throughout life.

We can pattern ourselves after successful people or role models, whose behavior, example, or success can be emulated by others, especially by younger people. We can read books and watch documentaries movies about them, We can then “model” the skills of these exceptional people, allowing ourselves to acquire those skills.
Such highly successful persons exist in any field of endeavor we choose to follow. They serve as pathways to success for all career seekers of ambitious yet realistic goals. Your choice of role models can impact your career opportunities and choices. Whether it be gaining self-confidence in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematical, sports and entertainment fields.
With that said, our own parents, teachers, and “community uncles and aunts” can also significantly influence our career aspirations. And they are within reach and approachable to mentor us. They can greatly shape, nurture and support our development and future success.
Mentors with a certain area of expertise are more experienced and knowledgeable to help guide us. One important characteristic of close family and community mentors is that they help us build a character with a proper upbringing, which goes alongside career development.
You can learn from others like your parents, guardians, teachers, coaches, and leaders. But for sure, life has unexpected twists and turns. That is when a positive, brave, and resourceful attitude is your greatest ally. And having such a strong, unbreakable resolve makes all the difference in overcoming unpleasant, crisis situations in one’s life.

There are public television stations and other teaching stations, with programs, shows, and documentaries for children and adults.
The Art of Supreme Empowerment
The art of empowerment is a lifelong process. It is from birth till death. At the beginning of life, we as babies are dependent on our parents and guardians. And as older adults, we depend on ourselves as mature beings. In addition, this mindset of a belief in a Superior Being who created this Universe has helped many a lost soul.
In times of crises, be it personal, family, community, or national, like sickness, dying, death, major accidents, trauma, or natural disasters, when a man cannot by himself solve a devastating situation, people can turn to an Almighty God for help in such times of trouble.
These are the times in our lives when we are at the mercy of circumstances beyond our control. We are in survival mode or near death’s door when these trials appear on our front step from nowhere. We turn to God when all else fails. As the expression says “If you did not find God, God finds you”.
Some of us turn to God’s Holy or Bible Scripture to find consolation or faith. We seek out these Scripture passages or Verses in the Bible to comfort us, like when we lose a loved one.
To continue on after despair, we put our trust in God and hope for His Divine intervention in one way or another despite all the setbacks, tears, and anguish. We need the courage to persevere.
Much more we need peace within despite what is happening all around us or even to us. One such scripture verse may be comforting to us “The peace of God, which passes all understanding”.
